We deliver quality services to our clients safely and without compromise.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYBased in Cobar, NSW, but regularly traveling to our projects across the country, we are looking for a passionate safety professional to join our team and provide safety leadership across all of DRC's projects nationwide. This is a unique and fast-paced position that will work to develop and establish strong safety frameworks, acting as a change agent.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Regularly travel to sites and conduct audits and undertake reviews of procedures/policies and training material;Work with the Group Safety and Training Manager to conduct ICAM investigations and participate in risk assessments;Facilities training/inductions as required and always look to improve methods and content continually;Ensure compliance following all relevant legislation;Champion the document management process and assist with updating all safety documentation;Manage end-to-end workers' compensation claims, including lodgement of claims, liaising with employees, attending medical appointments, etc.Take ownership of ensuring the training matrix is kept updated;Implement effective processes for safety data recording and reporting;Continually build strong relationships with all employees, helping to establish a healthy safety culture where all incidents/accidents are reported. ABOUT YOUDriven, positive, thrive under pressure, and be able to tackle this position head-on!You must have a strong understanding and experience within the mining industry, specifically the exploration, diamond, and RC drilling sectors. Any applications without experience in those areas will not be progressed;Hold all relevant safety qualifications such as Cert IV OHS, TAE, or degree equivalent;Have advanced computer skills – you must be good with Excel and Word and have experience within various safety platforms;Be able to lead and influence people from across all levels of the business;Be willing to travel as required to remote areas.
